Full job description

Kennel Assistant

We are looking for energetic, self-motivating, reliable individuals who have a passion for animals and can work well in a team environment and independently.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Provide daily care and attention to animals in the kennel facility

- Clean and sanitize kennel suites and common areas

- Feed and water animals according to their specific needs

- Administer medications as directed

- Exercise and socialize animals to ensure their well-being

- Assist with the bathing of animals

- Monitor animal behavior and report any concerns to the supervisor

- Assist with intake and discharge of animals

- Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatments

- Landscaping including cutting grass, weed wacking, shoveling snow

Experience/Attributes:

- Previous experience working with animals is preferred

- Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques

- Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with animal care

- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients

- Multi-tasking

- Capacity to work on your feet for an entire shift

- valid drivers license with 3+ years driving record
