Vehicle Delivery Specialist

Location: Lindsay Buick GMC
Job Type: Full-Time
Department: Sales / Delivery
Reports To: Sales Manager / General Sales Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a Vehicle Delivery Specialist to join our team and ensure every customer has an exceptional experience from the moment their vehicle is ready for delivery until they drive away.

The Vehicle Delivery Specialist plays an important role in creating a smooth, professional, and memorable vehicle handover experience. This position requires someone who is organized, customer-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prepare new and pre-owned vehicles for customer delivery.
  • Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled/charged, properly equipped, and ready for presentation.
  • Complete a thorough inspection of vehicles prior to delivery and identify any outstanding concerns.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Service, Parts, and Detailing departments to ensure delivery timelines are met.
  • Welcome customers and provide a professional, personalized delivery experience.
  • Conduct vehicle walkarounds and explain key vehicle features, controls, technology, and safety systems.
  • Assist customers with pairing phones, setting up vehicle technology, and understanding infotainment systems.
  • Ensure all required delivery items, accessories, manuals, keys, and documentation are present.
  • Confirm the vehicle is properly configured according to the customer's preferences.
  • Assist with vehicle transfers, positioning, and movement around the dealership as required.
  • Maintain an organized delivery area and ensure vehicles are presented to dealership standards.
  • Follow all dealership safety, compliance, and operational procedures.
  • Communicate any delivery issues or customer concerns promptly to the appropriate department.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the delivery process.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is:

  • Customer-service oriented and professional.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable working with vehicles and automotive technology.
  • A confident and clear communicator.
  • Able to explain vehicle features in a simple, easy-to-understand manner.
  • Comfortable working independently while also being a strong team player.
  • Able to manage multiple deliveries and priorities throughout the day.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable driving a variety of vehicles.
  • In possession of a valid driver's licence and a clean driving record.

Automotive Experience

Previous automotive or dealership experience is an asset but not required. We are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates strong customer-service skills, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in vehicles.

Experience in automotive sales, service, detailing, customer service, or vehicle operations is considered an advantage.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation
  • Full-time employment
  • Training and development opportunities
  • A professional and team-oriented work environment
  • Opportunities for advancement within the dealership

Why Join Us?

The vehicle delivery is often the final impression a customer has of the dealership before they drive away. We're looking for someone who understands that this isn't simply handing over a set of keys. It's about making sure the customer feels confident, excited, and taken care of.

If you take pride in your work, enjoy working with people and vehicles, and have an eye for the details that others miss, we'd like to hear from you.

Apply today by submitting your resume.
