Full job description

Khalsa Secondary School is seeking Teacher on call positions for our Sikh faith - based school located on 10589 124 Street. Academic teachers do not have to be observers of the faith. Teachers from all diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply! We are an IB MYP authorized World School and an AP Level 2 school. We are a growing school with a lot of opportunities! Our teachers are supported, have their own classroom and have a prep in each semester. Teacher on call needs to do the following:

-Follow prepared lesson plans and report on learning outcomes at the end of the day in the form of notes for the teacher.
- Hold students' accountable in an engaging manner while you are covering the class
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth
- Collaborate with colleagues and administration to implement curriculum plans
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, daily performance and any concerns to alert the teacher of

`Requirements`
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field or a Bachelor's degree
- Valid teaching certification or license preferred
- Experience working with high school students, preferably in a classroom setting
- Knowledge and understanding of the subject area(s) being taught (e.g., Math, Special Education)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and create a positive learning environment
- Patience, flexibility, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
