We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable Server to join our team at Pakka Local, a vibrant Indian restaurant known for flavorful biryanis, and classic street food. As a Server, you will play a key role in delivering a warm, welcoming, and efficient dining experience to all our guests. If you’re passionate about food, customer service, and Indian cuisine, we’d love to meet you!

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests with a warm and courteous attitude
• Take accurate food and drink orders, with knowledge of Indian dishes and spice levels
• Serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring proper presentation and timely service
• Guide guests through the menu, offering recommendations and upselling special items
• Handle cash, card, and POS transactions accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the dining area, including tables, cutlery, and condiments
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and timely service
• Address any guest concerns or special requests professionally and promptly
• Support takeaway and online order packaging when needed
• Maintain hygiene standards and comply with food safety regulations

Experience & Skills

• Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with Indian food, ingredients, and common dietary preferences (e.g., spicy levels, vegetarian, halal) is an asset
• Comfortable using POS systems and handling cash/card transactions
• Strong communication skills and a guest-first attitude
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak hours
• Team player who is punctual, dependable, and eager to learn
