Overview

We are seeking a talented and creative Cake Decorator to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for artistic cake design and a strong background in food preparation and customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft beautiful, custom cakes for various occasions while ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. The Cake Decorator will play a vital role in delivering exceptional products and memorable experiences to our customers.

Duties

  • Decorate cakes and pastries according to customer specifications, utilizing various techniques and tools
  • Prepare cake fillings, frostings, and decorative elements with precision and creativity
  • Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards and presentation requirements
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the decorating station in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Assist in baking and food preparation tasks as needed to support the kitchen team
  • Package finished products carefully for delivery or pickup, ensuring proper handling and presentation
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their orders and offering product recommendations
  • Follow all food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures to uphold health standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or related food industry roles
  • Strong skills in cake decorating techniques, including piping, fondant work, and creative design
  • Experience with food preparation, cooking, and general kitchen operations
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Previous restaurant or bakery experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed
  • Food industry experience including baking, packaging, and food presentation is highly desirable

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
