Job Summary

Located in the beautiful Upper Squamish Valley of British Columbia, Camp Summit is 24-acre outdoor adventure and traditional overnight camp facility offering various programs for youth and adults.

We are seeking a Front of House Manager to work alongside our Head Chef and Food Service Team, to managing our Dining Hall for up to 180 guests, while maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-organized kitchen.

  • Pay: Starting at $165/day

As the Front of House Manager, you will be the pivotal point of contact for campers, guests and staff, ensuring a positive and efficient dining experience for groups up to two hundred. Responsibilities include overseeing front-of-house operations, managing a team of kitchen/dish staff, coordinating meal schedules, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall camp community.

We are seeking a patient and well-organized individual for this role, emphasizing the significance of safe and efficient food service. Responsibilities include receiving deliveries, meticulously checking supplies for quality, ensuring proper labeling, storage, and rotation, and overseeing the preparation of self-serve areas such as the salad bar, soup bar, oatmeal bar, and coffee/tea station. Ideal candidates will possess knowledge of special dietary requirements, including but not limited to, vegan, vegetarian, celiac, allergies, and anaphylaxis.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area in accordance with food safety standards.
  • Assist with kitchen coordination when necessary to support overall lodge operations.
  • Lead by example in demonstrating leadership qualities such as teamwork, professionalism, and hospitality excellence.

Experience

  • Proven supervising experience in a food service or restaurant environment.
  • Hands-on experience with food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service in fast-paced settings.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper kitchen procedures is essential.

Pay: From $170.00 per day
