Full job description

HealthShield Pharmacy in VAUGHAN is hiring! A spot has opened up to join our family as a Pharmacy Assistant. We are a lively community pharmacy located at Jane and Rutherford in Vaughan.

Key responsibilities:

  • Patient greeting and confirmation of accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling,
  • Data entry of patient care information into KROLL Dispensing Software,
  • Receiving of wholesaler medication order, pricing, and placing on shelf,
  • Third Party adjudication,
  • Accurate dispensing prescription medications,
  • Maintenance of pharmacy stock (expiries, etc.)
  • General OTC enquiries from patients and referral to Pharmacist where required and necessary,
  • Handling customer prescription pick up,
  • Assisting with cashier responsibilities as required in the Pharmacy
  • Regular house-keeping of pharmacy (Cleaning, Shredding)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Kroll Experience an Asset;
  • Must have EXCELLENT communication skills;
  • excellent organizational skills and detail orientation;
  • strong communication skills;
  • demonstrated customer service experience;
  • strong motivation to succeed;
  • proficient computer/data/entry skills.
