LLQP and New Agent Training Coordinator

Part-time | Approximately 20 hours per week

We are seeking an organized and people-focused professional to manage our internal LLQP support program and provide foundational training to new life insurance agents.

The ideal candidate has practical experience in the Canadian life insurance industry and enjoys helping new agents build confidence, remain accountable and develop strong professional habits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support LLQP students from registration through exam completion
  • Help learners create study plans and remain accountable to deadlines
  • Answer basic questions about LLQP materials, exams and licensing requirements
  • Track student progress and provide regular internal updates
  • Coordinate study sessions, review classes and exam preparation
  • Deliver onboarding and foundational training to newly licensed agents
  • Introduce new agents to insurance fundamentals, industry terminology and professional expectations
  • Provide basic training on life, critical illness, disability insurance and segregated funds
  • Coordinate training schedules, attendance and learning materials
  • Identify learners who require additional support and arrange follow-up
  • Assist with improving training resources, presentations and onboarding processes
  • Coordinate with leadership and subject-matter experts when advanced guidance is required

Required Experience

  • Current Alberta life and accident and sickness insurance licence
  • Minimum two years of experience in the Canadian life insurance industry
  • First-hand familiarity with the LLQP course, certification process and provincial examinations
  • Experience onboarding, mentoring, coaching or training new agents
  • Working knowledge of life insurance, critical illness, disability insurance and segregated fund fundamentals
  • Strong presentation, organization and follow-up skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in clear and practical language
  • Comfortable tracking learner progress and maintaining accountability
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Proficiency with Zoom and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience with an MGA, insurance agency or career insurance organization
  • Experience facilitating virtual or in-person training sessions
  • Familiarity with learning-management systems
  • Experience developing presentations, training resources or onboarding materials
  • Adult education or training credentials are an asset but not required

What Success Looks Like

  • LLQP students receive consistent support and remain engaged
  • Licensing progress is accurately tracked and communicated
  • New agents complete a structured and professional onboarding process
  • Training sessions are practical, organized and well attended
  • New agents develop a strong understanding of industry fundamentals and expectations
  • Learners who fall behind receive timely follow-up and support
