Youth/Family Counselor (Full Time) Opportunity :
The Youth/Family Counselor plays a pivotal role as a main support figure for young individuals here at Vantage, working in rotating shifts to ensure around-the-clock support, seven days a week. They are an essential team member committed to delivering services to young people and families within a well-organized environment.

Skilled in building relationships with clients and staff with professional boundaries

Strong oral and written communication skills

Willingness to constantly learn and evolve

Organized; with a strong focus on accurate and consistent record-keeping

Creative problem solving

Flexible and adaptive to change

What we offer:
Competitive salary based on education and experience

Shift differentials

Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, life & disability coverage

Registered Pension Plan with 4% employer matching after one year

Generous vacation time with 3 weeks of vacation per year to start

We offer 3 additional statutory holidays for a total of 12 statutory holiday days each year

An additional day off is also provided to be used during the Christmas holiday season

Qualifications:
Diploma or undergraduate degree or in Human Services, e.g., Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related fields.

Experience working with young people is preferred.

Current certifications in Standard First Aid/Level C CPR, PIC, CYIM, Valid Driver’s License, and Driver’s Abstract.

Location:
In person, on site, Red Deer, Alberta.
