Class 2 & Class 4 Drivers — Flexible Year-Round Role | Summer 2026 Start

Squamish Connector is hiring Class 2 and Class 4 drivers based in Squamish to join our operations team for the 2026 season and beyond.

This is a flexible driving role that may include part-time or full-time hours. Depending on business needs, seasonal demand, driver availability, and the type of work being operated the hours may vary by season as scheduled service, shuttle work, charter work, and on-demand transportation needs change throughout the year.

This role is ideal for drivers who want steady, professional driving work but may also want the flexibility to work another job, run a side business, or pick up extra hours when available. For the right person, this can be a long-term role with room to grow.

Squamish Connector operates year-round, connecting Squamish with Downtown Vancouver through the Sea to Sky Corridor, along with charter, shuttle, and private transportation services. Our work is dependable, detail-oriented, and operationally disciplined. Customer Service is what we strive to be the best at.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate various services safely and professionally between Squamish and Downtown Vancouver using our modern fleet
  • Provide consistent, high-quality customer service to commuters, residents, and visitors
  • Work within established systems including using iPhones, electronic logging devices, and scheduling software. We are a highly compliant company with the MVA and NSC and want our candidates to understand safety matters.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and presentation, with attention to detail inside and out
  • Follow structured procedures that support safety, compliance, reliability, and professional operations
  • Assist with backup coverage, charter work, or additional driving assignments when available

This is not a driver-guide role. While guests may be visiting the region, the focus is safe, efficient, professional transportation, not narration or performance.

What Makes This Role Different

  • Open to Class 2 and Class 4 drivers. DOES NOT NEED AIRBRAKES
  • Flexible role with part-time and full-time opportunities
  • Hours may vary by season, service demand, and driver availability
  • Opportunity to work another job while staying active with Squamish Connector
  • Year-round operations with seasonal changes in the type of work available
  • Schedules are planned in advance whenever possible
  • Opportunity for charter work, shuttle work, and extra driving hours
  • Ideal for drivers seeking flexibility, professionalism, and variety

Some full-time schedules may follow a 4 days on / 4 days off rotation, while other schedules may vary depending on service needs. Certain assignments may require alternate scheduling options, but we aim to provide schedules well in advance wherever possible.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation will depend on licence class, experience, role type, and the level of availability provided.

Full-time Class 2 driver roles may range from approximately are $30 hourly and up depending on experience, schedule, bonuses, and additional work opportunities. Annual salary is an option

Part-time and Class 2/4 roles may be hourly, casual, seasonal, or flexible depending on the work being assigned.

Additional benefits may include:

  • Sea to Sky Gondola pass for full-time employees after successful probation
  • Commuter benefits for you and immediate family members
  • Casual dress
  • Flexible scheduling where operationally possible
  • Significant personal time depending on rotation and availability

What We’re Looking For

  • Valid Class 2 or Class 4 licence
  • Air brakes are an asset but not required for current roles
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
  • Professional, calm, and courteous customer service style
  • Comfort using smartphones and basic apps
  • Familiarity with the Sea to Sky Highway and Downtown Vancouver
  • Willingness to follow company procedures and safety standards
  • Availability for scheduled service, shuttle, charter, or backup coverage depending on role type

Assets

Not required, but helpful:

  • Experience in tourism, scheduled transit, shuttle operations, or larger vehicles
  • Mechanical experience
  • Previous commercial driving experience
  • Year-round driving experience
  • Familiarity with electronic logging devices and vehicle inspection procedures
  • Flexible availability during peak operating periods

Long-Term Fit Matters

We are intentionally hiring for retention, reliability, and continuity. This role suits drivers who value:

  • Clear expectations
  • Professional operations
  • Safe and consistent driving standards
  • Flexibility without chaos
  • Being part of a small, dependable team
  • The ability to work seasonally, part-time, full-time, or alongside another job depending on availability and company needs

Squamish Connector is a good fit for drivers who want meaningful driving work without the instability often associated with purely seasonal tourist bus operations.
