Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Owner Operator to join our transportation team. This role involves managing your own commercial vehicle to transport freight efficiently and safely across various routes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of freight handling, vehicle maintenance, and safety regulations, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent service. As an Owner Operator, you will have the flexibility to operate independently while maintaining high standards of professionalism and safety.

Duties

  • Operate your own truck to pick up and deliver freight to designated locations in a timely manner
  • Ensure all cargo is secured properly using appropriate equipment and techniques
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
  • Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery records
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding schedules, delays, or issues during transit
  • Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep the vehicle in optimal condition
  • Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts when necessary for loading and unloading cargo
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and transportation laws to ensure safe operations at all times

Skills

  • Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL license preferred
  • Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and securement techniques
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment including forklifts and other loading machinery
  • Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting mechanical issues on the road or at the shop
  • Familiarity with freight management systems and electronic logging devices (ELDs)
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing schedules, documentation, and compliance paperwork
  • Good communication skills for coordinating with clients, dispatchers, and team members
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various environments

Pay: $2,000.00-$2,700.00 per week
