Residential Sales & Business Development Consultant
Join a Team That's Raising the Standard in Residential Painting
Eager to learn and ready to work hard, but lacking sales experience? We have a place for you. If you bring the drive, energy and personality, we will train you with the sales skills.
Experienced in home service sales and ready to plug into a marketing system? We have a place for you too!
At Dreamscape Painting, we believe painting is about far more than applying colour—it's about creating spaces people are proud to call home and delivering an experience they'll rave about long after the project is complete.
We're looking for a driven, relationship-focused Residential Sales & Business Development Consultant who shares our commitment to craftsmanship, integrity, and exceptional customer service.
This isn't a job for someone looking to simply quote projects. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, takes ownership of their results, and wants to build lasting relationships in the communities we serve.
Who We Are
Family run and Business minded - We are aiming for the top, full stop.
Our customers choose us because they know they'll receive:
- Honest advice and transparent communication.
- Exceptional workmanship without shortcuts.
- Professional, courteous painters who respect their homes.
- A smooth, organized process from estimate to final walkthrough.
- A company that stands behind its work.
We believe that excellence isn't occasional—it's the standard.
About the Role
Your role will be divided approximately:
50% – Company-Generated Sales Appointments
Our marketing team works hard to generate qualified estimate requests. You'll meet with homeowners who have already expressed interest in our services, understand their needs, prepare detailed proposals, and guide them confidently through the decision-making process. You can expect 8-10 supplied per week on average. This may increase during peak season and decrease during slow season - Time spent on supplied appointments and business development will change month to month.
50% – Business Development
Great companies don't wait for opportunities—they create them.
You'll spend the other half of your time building relationships and generating new business through networking, referrals, community involvement, strategic partnerships, and neighbourhood prospecting.
Whether you're connecting with past clients, introducing yourself to local real estate professionals, attending community events, or developing referral partnerships, you'll play a key role in growing Dreamscape Painting's reputation throughout the Fraser Valley and Metro Vancouver.
Expect to be working in multiple cities across the lower mainland.
What You'll Be Responsible For: Sales & Customer Experience
- Meet homeowners for scheduled estimate appointments.
- Listen first, then recommend the right solution for their home.
- Prepare detailed and accurate painting proposals.
- Clearly communicate the value behind our premium service.
- Follow up consistently and professionally.
- Create an outstanding customer experience from first meeting through project handoff.
Business Development
- Develop new residential painting opportunities every week.
- Build referral relationships with Realtors®, builders, designers, property managers, strata managers, and other complementary businesses.
- Network within the community and represent Dreamscape Painting professionally.
- Prospect targeted neighbourhoods and introduce homeowners to our services. Knock on doors and talk to homeowners next to active job sites
- Stay connected with past customers to generate repeat business and referrals.
- Continuously build a healthy pipeline of future work.
Who You Are
You're someone who naturally builds trust. You can be direct and ask for the job, and not shy away from conversations about money.
You enjoy meeting new people, asking thoughtful questions, and helping customers make informed decisions.
You talk on the phone! Email can be good, but phone calls are what gets traction.
You understand that every interaction reflects the reputation of the company you're representing.
Most importantly, you're motivated by being part of something bigger than yourself.
Why Dreamscape Painting?
We are growing across the lower mainland - Our vision is to be the premier painting company across the Metro Vancouver area.
That means investing in great people, supporting continuous improvement, and creating a workplace where professionalism, respect, and personal growth are part of everyday life.
Compensation
We focus on performance and rewarding those who can meet or exceed their goals. No coasting here!
- Commission scale - earn more on self generated appointments
- Gas stipend
- Cell phone stipend
- A steady stream of qualified company-generated appointments.
- Unlimited earning potential through self-generated business.
- Ongoing sales coaching and professional development.
- AI leveraged systems
- Proven systems, marketing support, and modern technology.
- A collaborative team that genuinely supports one another.
- Opportunities for leadership and career advancement as we continue to grow.
Compensation ranges from $50k to 100k+ based on performance. No cap on commissions.
Ready to Build Something Exceptional?
If you're excited by the idea of helping homeowners, building relationships, growing a respected local brand, and being part of a company that genuinely cares about quality and people, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today and help us continue raising the standard for residential painting throughout the Fraser Valley and Metro Vancouver.
