Full job description

in the Wasoqonatl Transmission Project to apply for the following:

Class 1 Driver
RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS

  • Operate tractor trailer and/or wheel combinations
  • Transport permitted loads safely and on time
  • Working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, load securement,
inspections, and maintenance
  • Ability to position blocks and tie-downs to secure cargo
  • Travel and acclimatize to all types of weather conditions, day or night
  • Drive carefully on hills and in adverse weather, managing the vehicle safely
  • Adhere to protection rules and policies for transporting, handling, and fuel supply procedures
  • Examine goods to ensure they meet all applicable policies, rules, and regulations
  • Hold a valid Class A licence with a clean driving record
  • Working around heavy equipment
  • Physically fit with the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Able to work rotational shifts in remote locations
  • Potential to work longer shifts may be required
