About the Role

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional service and making a positive impact in your community? Join us at ATCO Electric Yukon as a Customer Service Advisor, under the general supervision of the Program Manager, Renewables and Grid Modernization, you’ll be the first point of contact for residential, commercial, and rural customers within the ATCO Electric Yukon service area.

In this dynamic role, you’ll handle a wide range of inquiries, service requests, and concerns—ensuring every interaction is prompt, personalized, and professional. You’ll play a key role in strengthening our customer relationships and enhancing ATCO’s reputation as a trusted and community-focused energy provider.

What You’ll Do:

  • Connect with customers in person, over the phone and through email to assist with billing questions, service requests, and account changes like connections or disconnections.
  • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when needed - ensuring fair, timely, and effective outcomes.
  • Collaborate with customers, social agencies, government partners, and Yukon First Nations to share information and resolve service-related concerns.
  • Coordinate field service work and manage work orders using our billing system to ensure smooth operations.
  • Process payments, prepare deposits, and ensure accurate financial transactions.
  • Maintain and update electronic records, track key data, and support reporting and analysis.
  • Embrace opportunities to learn new technologies and expand your knowledge of the utility industry.

What You Bring:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum one (1) to three (3) years of progressive office administration experience within a computerized environment.
  • Working knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel as well as Oracle platforms.
  • Accurate computer, keyboarding and calculator keying skills.
  • Experience handling cash and knowledge of cash balancing procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of company policies and practices.
  • Aptitude for prioritizing work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • An orientation to deliver excellent customer service both in person and on the phone.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills when dealing with internal and external customers.
  • An ability to deal with confrontation and diffuse emotional situations.
  • An ability to work professionally and maintain confidentiality of customer information.
