Overview of Position:

The Applications Analyst supports the organization’s business systems and day to day operations. This role acts as a bridge between business departments, IT, vendors, and system users to ensure applications are reliable, secure, well documented, and aligned with operational needs. The position also supports reporting, process improvement, user training, system documentation, and application lifecycle activities including upgrades, enhancements, testing, and issue resolution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support for business applications, troubleshoot user issues, manage application access, monitor system performance, and coordinate issue resolution with internal IT resources and vendors.
  • Work with departments to gather requirements, map current and future-state processes, identify system gaps, and recommend practical improvements to workflows, data quality, and application use.
  • Develop test plans, coordinate user acceptance testing, validate system changes, support releases and upgrades, and document outcomes to reduce business disruption.
  • Managed stakeholder expectations and execute effective communication strategies.
  • Support data accuracy, reporting needs, system integrations, imports/exports, and data validation activities across core business applications.
  • Create and maintain user guides, process documentation, training materials, and knowledge base content; support users through training and change adoption activities.
  • Other duties as assigned by the IT Manager


Preferred Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Strong problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge in computer systems
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences while maintaining strong relationships
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
  • Working in a construction environment would be considered an asset
  • Experience with the any of the following application platforms or disciplines would be considered an asset
  • Microsoft Dynamics ERP Platforms
  • Microsoft CRM Platforms
  • Microsoft SharePoint Online
  • Microsoft PowerApps

Desired Designations/Certifications/Licenses:

  • Microsoft 365 Certifications
  • Microsoft Dynamics Certifications
  • Business Analysis Certification
  • Relevant vendor-specific application certification.


Key Capabilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess business requirements, troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and recommend practical system or process improvements.
  • Technical aptitude to configure applications, understand integrations, support reporting, test system changes, and communicate effectively with vendors and IT resources.
  • Customer-focused approach with the ability to support internal users, respond to service requests professionally, translate technical information into plain language, and build confidence in business systems.
  • Excellent communication skills to document requirements, explain system changes, train users, prepare clear support notes, and coordinate with departments, IT, and external vendors.
  • High attention to detail when validating data, testing changes, maintaining accurate documentation, managing access carefully, and reducing risk when implementing application updates.
  • Strong coordination and project support skills to coordinate application upgrades, testing cycles, enhancements, vendor follow-ups, and cross-functional implementation activities.
  • Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential business, employee, financial, operational, and system information.


Work conditions:

May include extended periods of computer use, sitting, overtime, noise from office equipment.

Full-time, Permanent, Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm, On-site (961 Mazur Avenue, Beausejour MB)
