Class 1 Delivery Driver - Container/Sea-Can Delivery

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of Sea-Cans to various locations in a timely and safe manner. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, previous experience with tilt-deck truck, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate efficiently. Previous experience with hydraulics and tilt deck is preferred. This position requires a commitment to customer service and adherence to safety regulations.

The Employee will divide time between:

  • Deliveries:
  • Conducting Sea-Can/ container deliveries to clients promptly and professionally to the greater Calgary area and beyond, using Truck & Trailer and/or tilt deck truck
  • Interacting with clients professionally and courteously, as you are the face of the company
  • Conduct hazard assessments at each job site upon arrival and relay any potential hazards to BM or OHSM.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Report any workplace incidents immediately, including accidents, property damage, or vehicle damage.
  • Completing electronic pre-trips, work orders, and log books.
  • Delivery Truck and Trailer Maintenance:
  • Operation of hydraulic tilt-deck for deliveries
  • Maintaining trucks and trailers to ensure they continually meet all safety standards.
  • Keeping all truck and trailer records and checklists up to date on an ongoing basis.
  • Keeping all driver records and checklists up to date on an ongoing basis.
  • Communicate all the above to the Fleet Manager
  • Safety:
  • Follow Health and Safety policies, procedures and WorkSafe Regulations.
  • Safely complete all tasks and responsibilities.
  • Immediately communicate any safety issues arising from a job site to the Fleet Manager/OHSM to document.
  • Always safely handle company equipment as trained by the OHSM.
  • Miscellaneous:
  • May require operating a forklift in the storage yard from time to time
  • Helping with miscellaneous tasks in the yard and office as needed.

This position may also be required to perform additional duties at management's request, contributing to the company's overall goals.

Qualifications
