Assembly Team Member - Afternoon Shift - 4 Day Work Week!

Location: Okanagan Falls, BC

Looking for a hands-on job with a great schedule and long weekends? Unit Electric, a busy manufacturing facility located in Okanagan Falls, BC islooking for positive and reliable individuals to join our assembly team for the afternoon shift Monday to Thursday, from 4:00pm - 2:00am.

This position is part of the United Steelworkers bargaining unit and is covered by the terms of the Collective Agreement.

What we do:

Unit Electric designs and manufactures standard and custom electrical power, distribution and control equipment for mining, renewable energy, oil & gas, commercial, industrial and transportation.

Summary of what you will do:

  • Assemble modular buildings according to specifications
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools
  • Operate overhead crane and forklifts
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Perform inspections and report any defects or issues

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, construction is an asset
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team orientated environment
  • Capable of meeting the physical demands of the position including bending, crouching, kneeling, walking, climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Capable of communicating and collaborating with others in a respectful and professional way
  • Commitment to workplace safety
  • Ability to work overtime
