Job Summary: The Distribution Team Lead oversees the order processing, picking, packaging, shipping, and receiving activities for the Public Safety division.

Job Summary: The Distribution Team Lead oversees the order processing, picking, packaging, shipping, and receiving activities for the Public Safety division.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day Distribution Centre operations by monitoring performance and identifying operational improvement opportunities
- Develop, maintain, and analyze operational reports, KPIs, and performance metrics to support decision-making
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, service, quality, and operational efficiency
- Partner with Distribution Centre leadership teams to identify and resolve operational challenges and bottlenecks
- Assist in labour planning, workflow optimization, and operational resource allocation
- Support the implementation and standardization of operational processes and best practices across Distribution Centres
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Transportation, Inventory, Customer Service, HR, and IT teams to support operational needs
- Assist with operational analysis using systems and tools such as WMS, Excel, Power BI, and SQL to identify trends and opportunities
- Support leadership teams with reporting, communication, and follow-up on operational initiatives and priorities
- Promote adherence to company policies, operational procedures, and health & safety standards
- Support the development and execution of operational improvement opportunities across Distribution Centre operations
- Other duties as assigned
- 3–5 years of experience in distribution center, warehouse, or logistics operations
- Previous experience in a Team Lead or frontline leadership role preferred
- Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and operational reporting
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI and SQL considered an asset
- Experience analyzing operational data and identifying process improvement opportunities preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams); experience with Power BI and SQL considered an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with operations and support teams
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify operational efficiencies
- Leadership potential with the ability to coach, influence, and support operational teams
- Knowledge of health & safety standards and company policies within a distribution environment
- Operational efficiency and productivity improvements across Distribution Centre operations
- Accuracy and timeliness of operational reporting and KPI analysis
- Identification and implementation of process improvement initiatives
- Cross-functional collaboration and resolution of operational issues
- Support and adherence to safety standards, company policies, and operational best practices
