Full job description

Superheat FGH Canada is currently recruiting Certified Union Technicians to support our field operation and provide shop assistance. We are looking for Technicians that are local to Fort McMurray.

Please note: the wage scale/range will take into consideration prior work experience, professional certifications (trade certifications or experience) and education.

This is a Union position, QCCC members also receive a benefits and retirement savings package.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload equipment from load sheet, hook up generators
  • Label cables and equipment
  • Complete daily equipment maintenance and inspections checks as directed
  • Arrive to site prepared with required Personal Protective Equipment and required tools
  • Plan and prepare equipment for installation and upcoming tasks
  • Follow Wrapping Specifications as trained and directed
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices at jobsite
  • Perform Brinell Hardness Testing as per Quality Assurance procedures
  • Work safely at all times, consciously and with the environment and all peoples in mind.
  • Shop assistance including but not limited to: maintain storage areas and cleaning equipment, minor maintenance and repairs, testing and upgrades to equipment

Qualifications

  • Electrical or mechanical aptitude (A benefit but not required)
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the position (Carry, Lift 50lbs or more and climb)
  • Prior experience in a labour focused position is considered an asset
  • Valid Driver’s License an asset
  • Able to travel extensively
  • Able to work variable shifts and hours
  • Current safety certifications are considered an asset (H2S, CSTS, Fall Arrest, First Aid, OSSA)

Additional Information

  • Drug & Alcohol testing required for client site access
  • Travel to support Fort McMurray Regions and Client Sites

Pay: $23.63-$54.03 per hour
