Job Title: Full-Time Experienced Assistant Server
Location: Capocaccia Trattoria – 1366 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON
Salary: $17.60/hour + tips
Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:
Capocaccia Trattoria is seeking an experienced, passionate, and service-driven Full-Time Assistant Server to join our dynamic front-of-house team. As a key part of our guest experience, you will be responsible for providing exceptional hospitality in a fast-paced environment while promoting Italian cuisine and fine wine. This role reports directly to the Restaurant Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and seat guests in a warm and welcoming manner
  • Serve meals and alcoholic beverages in accordance with provincial regulations
  • Maintain table cleanliness, including busing and resetting tables
  • Handle daily cash and payment transactions accurately
  • Answer phone inquiries professionally and promptly
  • Maintain knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, and specials
  • Uphold a clean, organized, and professional workspace
  • Provide recommendations and upsell when appropriate to enhance guest satisfaction
  • Ensure all guests leave with a memorable and positive experience

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm under pressure
  • High level of product knowledge, especially in food and wine
  • Knowledge of Italian cuisine and wines is considered a strong asset
  • Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Smart Serve certification (required)
