You’ll build and maintain a meaningful pipeline of prospective customers, close sales with new business, and deliver excellent, timely service—acting as a key liaison between the customer and insurance carriers, including when claims arise.

Why brokers choose us

Build Your Book, Your Way
You’ll have the flexibility and autonomy to build your book and shape your specialty, supported by technical and sales training, plus resources that strengthen sales planning and business development.

A Compensation Model Built for Winners
We offer uncapped earning potential and a performance-driven compensation model, supported by competitive benefits, rewards, and recognition programs (including bonus and share purchase opportunities, plus elite performer recognition).

Integrated Broker Support. Real-World Results.
You’ll be backed by dedicated Account Managers and a National Broking team, with practical claims advocacy and risk management support (including access to independent business interruption specialists) and preferred vendor networks.

Stronger Market Access. Better Outcomes.
You’ll have broad market access (nearly 100 markets), flexibility through our in-house MGA with strong domestic and London relationships, and support from robust Program and Specialty teams to place large, complex, and unique risks.

Data and Tools that Drive Growth
You’ll use best-in-class analytics and advanced broker- and customer-facing tools and digital solutions to drive growth and deepen client relationships.

What you’ll do here

  • Sell commercial insurance policies and drive new business growth for your book
  • Develop and maintain a prospect list and execute sales planning/business development activities
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, including visiting customer sites
  • Prepare proposals and coordinate account placement with insurers, leveraging broad market access and internal specialty resources
  • Keep abreast of market knowledge, products, pricing issues, and placement opportunities
  • Gather and document relevant information to ensure customers receive appropriate coverage and service
  • Maintain book quality by adhering to underwriting rules and sound business practices
  • Arrange payment terms for new business and support timely collection of payments
  • Support customers through the claims process with claims advocacy support when needed
  • Travel in and out of town as required

What you bring to the table

  • High school and/or post-secondary education
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License
  • RIBO License (required)
  • CIP, FCIP, CAIB and/or CCIB (preferred)
  • Exposure to Epic (asset)
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial insurance sales experience
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
