Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our vibrant hospitality team! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Your energetic personality and excellent communication skills will ensure guests feel valued and appreciated from the moment they arrive. This paid position offers a dynamic environment where you can showcase your hospitality talents and develop your customer service expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS
  • Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, assisting with reservations or general questions
  • Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service and timely seating
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring a welcoming environment
  • Assist with guest needs, including providing menus, answering questions about the menu, and accommodating special requests
  • Handle guest check-ins and manage waitlists during busy periods to optimize seating efficiency

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality is highly preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, including POS systems like Micros POS or similar platforms
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries professionally
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Food service experience or restaurant experience is a plus, especially in high-volume settings
  • Hotel or hospitality industry background is advantageous but not required
