Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Apprentice and kick-start your career in the electrical industry! This paid apprenticeship offers a hands-on learning experience, allowing you to develop essential skills under the guidance of experienced electricians. You will be actively involved in assisting with electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance across various projects. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to gain practical knowledge, expand their technical expertise, and grow within a thriving construction and industrial environment.

Duties

  • Assist senior electricians with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
  • Support the installation, wiring, and maintenance of electrical systems, including low voltage and power systems.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, and assembling electrical components.
  • Help with the setup and testing of electrical circuits, ensuring compliance with safety standards and specifications.
  • Participate in troubleshooting electrical issues by following schematics and diagrams to identify faults or deficiencies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Support the inspection process by assisting in verifying proper wiring connections and system functionality.

Experience

  • Prior construction or electrical experience is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams is advantageous.
  • Experience using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, and drills.
  • Knowledge of industrial electrician practices or previous exposure to low voltage systems is a plus.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while working efficiently in a team environment.
  • Basic understanding of electrical safety procedures and protocols is desirable but training will be provided.
