Overview:

Load Warrior Logistics Ltd, a rapidly growing Same-Day general freight carrier, is seeking a skilled and dynamic Dispatcher to join our team in Chilliwack, BC. We operate across the Lower Mainland and Okanagan regions with a fleet of over 40 trucks, specializing in courier, palletized, and flat deck freight across vehicles of all size. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the dispatching of 15-20 trucks with predominantly skidded freight.
  • Coordinate and route same-day general freight deliveries efficiently.
  • Manage driver schedules, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods.
  • Communicate in real-time with drivers and customers to resolve issues and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Utilize dispatch software to track and manage logistics and Microsoft 365 suite of programs, namely Outlook and Excel for analysis and communication.
  • Handle and mitigate service failures, providing solutions on the fly.
  • Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and ensure compliance with company policies.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Previous dispatching experience.
  • Strong Asset: Experience with shipping and receiving.
  • Required: Fundamental understanding of the layout of the Lower Mainland and volumetric spatial awareness.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in real-time communication with drivers and customers.
  • Previous experience with any dispatch software is an asset.
