About us

Access Roadside Assistance is a family-owned business founded by Dan Sloan. Access Roadside Assistance has been dedicated to helping out drivers throughout North America during their time of need for the past 28 years. Access roadside is looking to expand its business in the Calgary area where we have been outsourcing to a network of vendors for the past 15 years but feel now is the time. To start our own fleet to provide top notch service to our Alberta clients. We are professional, and our goal is to provide a safe, happy, easy going work atmosphere. We are looking for operators who are hard working and wish to grow with the company.

Responsibilities:

- Respond to calls for towing services and provide roadside assistance as needed.-Operator should be able to handle moving cars, trucks and low to heavy equipment with tow trucks and flat decks. Responding to various calls such as basic tows, recoveries, MVA’s, and roadside assistance service calls.

- Secure vehicles properly on a flat deck tow truck using appropriate equipment and techniques

- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with customers and addressing their concerns

- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation related to each tow or service call.

- Perform basic automotive repair tasks, such as changing tires or jump-starting vehicles, when necessary

Experience:

- Commercial driving experience, A minimum 3 years Towing Experience is required.

-Load/unload vehicles from various equipment. This may include the use of chains, winch, wheel scoops and dollies and other equipment.

-Complete pre/post daily trip inspections.

-Communicate with dispatch, customers, and service providers in a courteous and respectful manner.

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally

- Basic automotive repair knowledge and mechanical aptitude

Requirements:

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Class 1,3 or 5.

-Air Brakes certified.

- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

- ALL CANDIDATES MUST PROVIDE A 3-YEAR COMMERCIAL DRIVING ABSTRACT AND COMPLETE A DRIVER PROFILE FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES; APPLICANTS MUST NOT HAVE ANY MORE THAN TWO MINOR CONVICTIONS WITHIN A 3 YEAR PERIOD.
-SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE A POLICE CLEARANCE WITH VULNERABLE SECTOR CHECK COMPLETED.
