With 21 departments, multiple research institutes and centres, and a focus on excellence in education, research, and clinical care, the faculty trains outstanding medical and dental professionals and drives global health innovation in collaboration with partners across sectors.- Virtual Focus Group Support: Assist in coordinating and facilitating 60-minute virtual focus groups conducted via Zoom.
- Qualitative Data Management: Manage the auto-transcription process, perform de-identification, and oversee member checking for transcript accuracy.
- Thematic Analysis: Assist in a rigorous thematic analysis (familiarization, coding, and refining themes) using the Braun & Clarke (2006) framework.
- BHP Implementation: Support the rollout of the 6–8 hour Black Health Primer online course and subsequent faculty training sessions.
- Data Support: Assist with anonymous evaluative surveys using RedCap and manage follow-up data collection one-year post-implementation.
- Reporting: Help draft the final report to highlight lessons learned for distribution to other family medicine departments.
- Lived Experience: Must have lived experience of Black identity, as the project is anchored in Critical Race Theory and addresses the lived experiences of Black patients.
- Education: Completion of a Master’s degree or above in a relevant field (e.g., Public Health, Sociology, Education, Health Sciences).
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of anti-Black racism in the Canadian healthcare context.
