Work Environment and Typical Schedule

  • Full-time, based in-office at Discover Canada Tours’ downtown Vancouver headquarters.
  • Typical hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:30 pm.
  • Please note there are instances where you could be assigned Saturday or Sunday duties occasionally depending on the operational needs of the company. FAM tours may also take place over the weekend.

Reporting to the Product Manager, the Product Coordinator is responsible for developing both custom and scheduled group & FIT tours across all divisions of Discover Canada Tours. This includes crafting compelling proposals tailored to the needs of each brand’s clientele and continuously reviewing our tour offerings to ensure we feature the most exciting itineraries and top-quality suppliers. In this role, you will play a vital part in shaping the tours we deliver, helping ensure our guests experience the very best of Canada.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Custom Tour Quoting & Product Development

  • Develop and price custom group tour proposals based on client needs and budget, ensuring value and profit targets are met in consultation with the Product Manager Create itineraries for both group and FIT (Independent Travel) clients, including self-drive programs.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers (accommodation, activities, transportation) to deliver quality products at the lowest possible rates.
  • Continuously improve scheduled tour itineraries and FIT products based on feedback from clients, guides, Operations team, and market trends.
  • Collaborate with Product Manager, Director of Operations, and division leads to plan scheduled tour series, generate new product ideas, and select key suppliers.
  • Support annual hotel blocks and pricing development across all divisions.
  • Stay current on tourism trends by attending trade shows, site inspections, and familiarisation trips; occasionally travel on tours to assess quality and experience.
  • Work closely with Operations by communicating tour details, deadlines, client expectations, special requests, and supplier requirements.
  • Train internal teams (operations, sales, marketing) on assigned products to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
  • Manage Extraordinary Experience FIT bookings, including client communication, and assist in promoting key products through collaboration with the marketing team.

Qualifications:

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident preferred; valid work visa with at least 1–2 years accepted)
  • Excellent destination knowledge of Western Canada
  • College diploma or university degree with a focus in Travel & Tourism preferred
  • Minimum of two years operations experience in the tourism industry with a focus on group travel
  • Ability to plan, organise, set priorities and manage processes efficiently on a daily basis
  • High proficiency in excel and Google sheets
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong command of English
  • Ability to multi task and manage your time effectively
