Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision and care, adhering to established Chinese recipes and presentation standards
• Serve food to customers efficiently while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
• Handle food safely by following proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning meals
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations and kitchen equipment, to ensure compliance with health regulations
• Support the team during busy periods by managing multiple tasks seamlessly and staying organized
• Follow all safety protocols related to food industry standards to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with kitchen operations
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, meal assembly processes and Sichuan cuisine or other types of Chinese cuisine
• Hands-on experience with food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality standards are met
• Strong understanding of kitchen safety practices, including proper use of utensils, equipment, and sanitation measures
• Experience working in fast-paced environments where multitasking and teamwork are essential
• Familiarity with the food industry’s best practices for serving, meal preparation, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness

Pay: $18.15-$20.15 per hour
