We're looking for a part-time Night Auditor to join our team at The Parkside Hotel & Spa, working Thursday, Friday, and Saturday overnight shifts.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Night Auditor plays an essential role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel during overnight hours. This position is responsible for providing front desk services, delivering exceptional guest service, and completing the hotel's nightly audit and accounting processes, including daily reporting, transaction verification, and balancing financial records.

As a valued member of our Front Office team, you'll welcome late night arrivals, respond to guest inquiries and concerns, and help create a safe, comfortable, and positive experience for every guest. The Night Auditor is also trained in the hotel's emergency policies and procedures and is prepared to respond confidently and effectively in the event of an emergency or evacuation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Performs all duties as outlined on the night audit shift checklist.
• Verifies all departures have been checked out in the PMS.
• Completes any remaining arrivals for the night, including PM accounts.
• Notes no show reservations for AM team follow-up.
• Ensures current downtime reports are printed throughout the shift, and emergency keys are located in the correct spot.
• Runs credit limit report, to make sure proper guest credit is established for all in-house guests.
• Runs the audit and verifies that the PMS rolls over to the next business day.
• Troubleshoots any issues that may arise during the audit with support teams.
• Completes the hotel & spa Daily Activity Report (DAR) and prepares the audit pack for our accounting department.
• Runs various daily reports and sends to team members.
• Addresses guest requests and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to the AM team when necessary.
• Provides information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
• Prepares documents and reports for daily housekeeping operations.
• Consistently aware of daily house activity (occupied rooms, special events/functions, and information passed on from other departments).
• Monitors the Night Audit email for any communications from management.
• Completes entries in the MOD Report as required for pass-on.
• Maintains and replenishes all supplies needed for the next shift.
• Creates room reservations as required.
• Completes check out duties for departing guests.
• Handles cash, credit, debit, and gift card transactions in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
• Responds properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
• Works as part of the overall team with a primary focus on guest satisfaction.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous front desk or night audit experience is required.
• Available to work overnight shifts (11:00pm-7:00am), including weekends & holidays.
• Experience with Opera Cloud PMS an asset.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Flexible, positive and energetic with the ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Strong data entry, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and to meet all deadlines.
• Has a strong understanding of customer service and is able to implement it on a day to day basis.
