Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and finishing tile surfaces in a variety of residential and commercial settings. Your expertise will help transform spaces with precision and craftsmanship, ensuring high-quality results that meet project specifications and client expectations. Duties

  • Measure, cut, and lay tiles accurately according to project plans and blueprints
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying adhesives or mortar for optimal tile adhesion
  • Install various types of flooring tiles, wall tiles, and decorative mosaics with attention to detail
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings to ensure precise placement
  • Use hand tools such as trowels, cutters, spacers, and levels to achieve professional finishes
  • Perform surface preparation tasks including carpentry work and caulking to ensure smooth installation
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the process to identify and correct any imperfections or issues

Skills

  • Proficiency with hand tools used in tile setting, carpentry, and general construction work
  • Strong construction experience with a focus on flooring installation and tile laying techniques
  • Ability to read blueprints accurately and translate plans into finished surfaces
  • Knowledge of caulking methods for sealing joints and finishing edges effectively
  • Experience in handyman tasks related to surface preparation and minor repairs
  • Familiarity with flooring materials, adhesives, grout application, and finishing techniques
  • Excellent attention to detail combined with strong problem-solving skills
