Okanagan Region | Seasonal | Starting Fall 2026.
Love taking photos and working with kids? Looking for a job that combines flexibility and fun?
This could be the perfect short-term job for you!
Mountain West Studios is Western Canada’s leading school photography company—proudly Canadian and family-owned since 1980. We've been capturing student smiles and school memories for over 46 years.
What You’ll Do:
  • Travel to schools across the Okanagan region to photograph K–12 students.
  • Set up and operate professional photography equipment (we provide all gear and training).
  • Interact with students and school staff in a warm, upbeat, and professional way.
  • Represent Mountain West Studios with enthusiasm and professionalism.
  • Work weekdays during peak season (September–November).
  • Local Travel:
    • Photographers are required to drive to and from local schools daily. All locations between Osoyoos and Salmon Arm are considered local, which can involve up to two hours of driving each way.
  • Out of Town Travel:
    • Periodically throughout the season, photographers are required to travel and stay out of town for 1 night or up to 5 nights. Destinations include Kamloops, Revelstoke, Nelson, Trail, Rossland, and Nakusp.

What We Offer:
  • $25/hour + paid drive time.
  • Mileage reimbursement ($0.55/km where applicable).

What You’ll Need:
  • Valid driver’s license (an “L” license does not qualify) and a reliable vehicle.
  • Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
  • Strong communication skills and fluent English.
  • Comfort working with children and school staff.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Ability to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.

Physical Requirements:
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Comfortable standing, walking, and bending for long periods.
