Full job description

We are looking for a LINE COOK to join our BOH team!!!


Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine, the LINE COOK is responsible for preparing dishes safely and efficiently in a full-service restaurant. The ideal candidate has previous kitchen experience and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Experience making pizzas is a strong asset, or a genuine interest in learning pizza preparation — which is an important and valued part of our kitchen.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Prepare and execute pizzas according to house standards when required
  • Prepare food for service in a premium restaurant environment
  • Prep ingredients (chopping, peeling, cutting) and stock your station with everything needed for service
  • Cook and plate dishes with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail, following the Chef de Cuisine’s recipes and presentation standards
  • Check the quality and freshness of all ingredients
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including equipment and utensils
  • Follow all Health & Safety and Food Safe guidelines


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a line cook
  • Experience making pizzas is an asset; willingness to learn is highly valued
  • Food Handling and Health & Safety certification is an asset
  • Comfortable with cooking methods such as grilling, frying, and sautéing
  • Strong basic kitchen skills, including knife work and mise en place
  • Good understanding of portions and measurements
  • Positive attitude and passion for food
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Professional, reliable, and punctual
  • Team player who works well with both BOH and FOH
  • Physically able to lift moderate weight
  • Able to stand for long periods
  • Available to work weekends, holidays, mornings, and nights
