Stirling Woodworks is a dynamic custom architectural millwork shop. Our clients seek high-quality, technically challenging work, and we pride ourselves on delivering exactly that. We are currently seeking a hard-working, self-motivated Journeyman Joiner to join our team. If you take immense pride in your craft and want to bring stunning millwork projects to life, we want to hear from you.

To join our team, you must possess an excellent understanding of shop drawings, precise machining and assembly methods, specialty hardware, and what it takes to safely meet shop schedules.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Machining & Assembly: Cut, shape, and assemble complex high-end millwork and custom cabinetry.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and accurately interpret detailed shop drawings and specifications.
  • Standards & Quality: Maintain Stirling Woodworks’ high standards of quality (knowledge of AWMAC standards is a strong asset).
  • Equipment & Shop Care: Operate and maintain shop equipment safely, and clean up after yourself to keep a safe workspace.
  • Communication: Work collaboratively and maintain clear communication with management and the shop team.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A valid Joinery/Cabinetmaker Red Seal Certification is an asset.
  • Proven experience in a custom millwork or architectural woodworking environment.
  • Proficient with standard shop machinery and a wide variety of hand tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, spatial awareness, and a sharp eye for detail.
