NODO Restaurant is hiring!

We are a casual Italian restaurant concept with 4 locations across the city of Toronto. We are in the Junction, St. Clair West, Leslieville and Liberty Village.

We are a high-volume restaurant, with a large patio and are looking to grow our team. We are hiring full-time and part-time for the following positions:

Job Summary

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role requires consistency, efficiency, and attention to detail to ensure all dishes meet the restaurant’s standards for taste, presentation, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Set up and stock workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment
  • Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner during service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to management
  • Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain proper food storage and labeling practices
  • Help with opening and closing kitchen duties

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25–50 lbs
  • Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain)
