The Economic Development Coordinator reports to the Manger of Economic Development and receives direction from the Director of Development Services. The Economic Development Coordinator is a highly accountable position, responsible to perform coordination on assigned Economic Development projects. Duties will include the development, implementation and evaluation of various City projects. Responsibilities also include supporting tourism development and promotion, preparing and managing grant applications to secure funding for economic initiatives, and implementing strategies for resident attraction and retention. As directed, the Economic Development Coordinator will act as a liaison and support between City departments, consulting engineers and professional and technical groups on designated projects.

Successful candidates must have: completion of College/University diploma or degree in urban planning, project management, business, commerce, economic development or a closely related field combined with five years experience in a related role, preferably in a municipal setting. Candidate must also have a valid class 5 BC Driver’s License.

This is a Union position (BCGEU) and the rate of pay is $51.53 per hour. Interested applicants are requested to send their resume AND covering letter (Word or PDF format) to the undersigned prior to 9:00 am, July 28, 2026.
