Shaughnessy Restaurant is seeking an experienced and motivated Line Cook to join our team at one of Vancouver’s most picturesque restaurant settings, located within VanDusen Botanical Garden.
Our kitchen focuses on seasonal, house-made cuisine and supports both regular restaurant service and a high-volume catering, wedding, and events program. We are looking for someone who is passionate about food, works well under pressure, and brings a positive, team-first attitude to the kitchen.

Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items to standard
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Maintain quality, consistency, and cleanliness
- Keep stations, storage areas, fridges, and freezers organized
- Help reduce waste and support efficient kitchen operations
- Ensure readiness for next day’s service
- Work collaboratively and professionally with the kitchen team
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Grill and brunch experience is an asset
- Culinary training is preferred but not required
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Hardworking, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Must have legal authorization to work in Canada
