HydroSpa Concierge & Server

Role Summary

Reporting to the HydroSpa Manager, the HydroSpa concierge is responsible for delivering exceptional experiences that reflect JW Marriott luxury service standards and LQA (Leading Quality Assurance) expectations. This position is responsible for serving light food fare, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests while creating memorable, personalized interactions. The concierge server demonstrates comprehensive menu knowledge, anticipate guest needs, communicate effectively with the Food & Beverage teams, and ensure all food and beverage experiences are executed with professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality.

Accountabilities

• Ensure uniform, name tag, grooming, and personal appearance are impeccably maintained, clean, pressed, and in accordance with JW Marriott brand standards.
• Adhere to all personal hygiene and food safety procedures to ensure food and beverages are handled and served safely, including appropriate handwashing and sanitization practices.
• Welcome and acknowledge every guest promptly with a warm smile, sincere eye contact, and a personalized greeting, utilizing guest names whenever possible.
• Create genuine connections with guests by engaging in meaningful conversation and anticipating individual preferences and service needs.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, preparation methods, wine pairings, promotions, and dietary accommodations.
• Accurately record and deliver food and beverage orders, ensuring all special requests, allergies, dietary restrictions, and modifications are communicated
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience, proactively identifying opportunities to exceed expectations and enhance the guest journey.
• Actively listen and respond professionally to guest questions, concerns, and requests, utilizing JW Marriott service recovery standards to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
• Provide attentive and respectful assistance to guests with disabilities in accordance with Marriott accessibility standards and guidelines.
• Follow all responsible alcohol service regulations and company policies when serving alcoholic beverages.
• Maintain proper service throughout the experience, including clearing and ensuring presentation standards are consistently met.
• Collaborate with fellow associates and departments to ensure seamless service delivery, operational efficiency, and exceptional guest experiences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas throughout each shift by following clean-as-you-go practices and sanitation procedures.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including cleaning equipment, restocking supplies, securing inventory, storing reusable goods, completing checklists, and preparing service areas for the next shift.
• Support the achievement of departmental goals, guest satisfaction targets, and LQA service standards.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations, actively participate in workplace safety initiatives, and contribute to maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and associates.
• Adhere to all environmental sustainability programs, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum one (1) year of restaurant, hospitality, luxury hotel, or related food and beverage serving service experience.
• Strong commitment to delivering exceptional guest service and creating memorable experiences.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, dining etiquette, and luxury hospitality practices.
• Knowledge of food handling regulations, sanitation procedures, and workplace safety standards.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
• Ability to multitask, remain organized, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
• Smart Serve Certification required or ability to obtain certification as required.

Working Conditions

• Must be available to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Required to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 30 lbs (13.6 kg) without assistance.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods or for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to move up and down stairs and service ramps safely.
• Regular reaching, bending, twisting, kneeling, and pulling movements are required.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors, as applicable, and navigate varying floor surfaces, including sloped, uneven, or slippery areas.
• Must be capable of maintaining luxury service standards during periods of high guest volume and operational demand.
