Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and food preparation, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, providing delicious meals to our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and measuring.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs to management.
- Participate in daily cleaning tasks, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques in meal preparation.
