Full job description

Hearing Aid Practitioner – Chappelle Crossing Hearing

6419 Cartmell Place, Edmonton, Alberta | Full-Time or Part-Time | Opening 2026

Competitive wage + commission + benefits

The Opportunity

Chappelle Crossing Hearing is opening a brand new, independently-owned hearing care clinic in southwest Edmonton's fastest-growing community. Located within a busy medical corridor including 5 dermatologists, family physicians, an ophthalmologist, and dentists — all steps away from our clinic.

We're looking for a Hearing Aid Practitioner who wants to work in an ethical, patient-first environment. No pressure-selling. No product quotas. Just good hearing care delivered right.

Why This Role Is Different

Ethical, patient-first environment. We don't push products people don't need. We're building for long-term reputation, not short-term sales.

Real support system. You'll work alongside an experienced Audiologist and a team who care about patient outcomes and want you to succeed.

Built-in patient pipeline. Referrals from co-located physicians and specialists, plus coordinated community marketing.

Great equipment. Brand new sound booth, real-ear measurement system, video otoscopy, and all major hearing aid platforms.

Growth path. Meaningful career development, mentorship from an experienced Audiologist, and opportunities to expand your scope of practice.

Predictable schedule. Monday to Friday, Saturday half-days. No evenings. No Sundays. No on-call.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct hearing screenings and basic audiometric testing
  • Fit, program, verify, and follow up on hearing aids using real-ear measurements
  • Perform earmold impressions, cerumen management (as scope permits), and product demonstrations
  • Provide patient counseling on hearing aid use, care, and communication strategies
  • Handle repairs, adjustments, and warranty service
  • Build patient relationships that drive referrals and long-term loyalty
  • Support the Audiologist on complex cases as needed
  • Participate in community outreach and clinic growth initiatives

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Registration as a Hearing Aid Practitioner with the College of Hearing Aid Practitioners of Alberta (CHAPA), or eligible for registration
  • Experience with major hearing aid platforms (Phonak, Oticon, ReSound, Signia, Widex, Starkey)
  • Working knowledge of real-ear measurement protocols
  • Strong communication skills — comfortable with older adults and diverse patient populations
  • Ethical approach to hearing care — patient outcomes drive decisions, not product quotas
  • Eligible for AADL vendor registration to bill Alberta Aids to Daily Living

Preferred:

  • 3+ years of clinical experience
  • Experience in independent clinic or entrepreneurial environments
  • Multilingual candidates (Punjabi, Hindi, Arabic, Tagalog, or Mandarin) are a real asset given the local community

Compensation & Benefits

Base Compensation:

  • Starting hourly wage: $32 – $42/hour, commensurate with experience
  • Performance bonuses or commission on hearing aid fittings (structured to reward outcomes, not high-pressure sales)

Benefits:

  • 70% company-paid group benefits (health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, EAP)
  • CHAPA annual registration fees covered by the Company
  • Professional liability insurance covered by the Company
  • Manufacturer training and certifications sponsored by the Company

Future Growth Potential:

  • Career advancement toward lead practitioner role
  • Opportunity for expanded scope and responsibilities as the clinic grows

Schedule & Location

  • Full-time or part-time considered (30-44 hours/week)
  • Monday to Friday, standard business hours
  • Saturday half-days
  • No evenings, no Sundays, no on-call
  • Located in southwest Edmonton (exact address provided to shortlisted candidates)
