Salary: Competitive, based on experience (Negotiable)

About Us

For decades, our sports bars and Irish-themed pubs have been staples of the downtown Toronto core. Ranging from high-energy, high-volume sports hubs to warm, traditional Irish pubs, our venues are known for great atmosphere, excellent service, and deep community roots. We are looking for a mature, hands-on, and dynamic leader to manage operations and maintain the high standards our guests have expected for generations.

Role Overview

As a Manager, you won’t just be sitting in an office. You will be the face of the venue, leading from the front. You will oversee both the Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) operations, ensuring seamless service in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong presence, sharp business acumen, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves alongside your team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and motivate a diverse team of bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff.
  • Financial Control: Oversee cash handling, float reconciliation, and end-of-night reporting with strict accuracy.
  • Hands-on Support: Jump into the trenches when needed—whether that means changing a keg, running food during a rush, or jumping behind the bar to mix drinks.
  • Inventory & Product Knowledge: Manage inventory control for a robust beverage program, utilizing your deep knowledge of beers, craft brews, and spirits.
  • Marketing (Bonus): Drive foot traffic through localized marketing ideas, social media engagement, or event promotions.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: Proven management experience in high-volume bars, sports bars, or pubs. Strong understanding of both front and back-of-house operations is essential.
  • Presence & Maturity: A grounded, mature professional with a commanding yet approachable leadership style.
  • Communication: Fluent in English with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of beer systems (including changing kegs), spirits, staff scheduling, and cash management.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work a hospitality schedule, including late nights, weekends, and major sporting events.
  • Adaptability: Ability to stay calm, organized, and focused in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Smart Serve, Food Handler certifications required.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary that is negotiable based on your experience and track record.
  • The opportunity to run iconic, established downtown venues.
  • A dynamic, energetic, and supportive work culture.
