Exciting US Short Haul Logistics Coordinator role at Ippolito Transportation!
Ippolito Transportation, part of the Ippolito Group of Companies, has been proudly family-run and trusted in the produce industry for over 75 years. Our growing and highly respected team is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our US Short Haul team at our head office in Burlington, Ontario.

As a Logistics Coordinator, you’ll be an integral member of our logistics team, handling dispatch, customer service, and supporting sales initiatives. You’ll work closely with our drivers, customers, and colleagues to ensure efficient, on-time delivery across Canada and the U.S., while maintaining compliance with all cross-border and customs requirements.
What You’ll Do
  • Coordinate daily US Short Haul pick-ups and deliveries, keeping drivers informed on schedules, routes, and next moves.
  • Support drivers while on route, resolving issues and ensuring cross-border documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Update shipment statuses, load details, and related information in Truck Mate.
  • Plan and sequence routes to maximize trailer utilization, service levels, and profitability.
  • Partner with dispatch, sales, customers, brokers, and carriers to align loads, communicate updates, resolve issues, and support seamless service.
  • Assist with quoting, scheduling, and order confirmations as needed.
Who You Are
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator.
  • Calm and professional under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experienced in cross-border dispatching with working knowledge of customs clearance terminology and procedures.
  • Confident using dispatch software and other computer systems.
  • Skilled in driver management and customer service.
  • A team player who treats others with respect and takes pride in their work.
What You Bring
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant logistics or dispatch experience in produce or cross-border.
  • Experience with Truck Mate an asset.
  • Understanding of ACE/ACI, PARS/PAPS, bills of lading, and customs broker coordination.
  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education preferred.

Hours of Work
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with rotating weekend coverage
