We are looking for an Account Executive responsible for building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders in the AE industry. This role includes developing new client relationships through a consultative, solutions-oriented approach. The individual will establish and execute account strategies aligned with defined objectives, working collaboratively with a cross-functional team.
We are looking for candidates who have strong relationships and experience selling into architects and interior designers. Candidates must be able to have office presence in Vancouver 3 days a week (although timing is flexible). The role will include a base salary, uncapped commission plan, phone/car allowance, medical/dental and of course vacation.
Our client is favorably positioned in the marketplace and has ties to Canadian manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through a mix of outreach methods, relationship development, networking, industry engagement, and referrals.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline by targeting key accounts, creating strategic plans, and guiding prospects through a consultative sales journey.
- Establish and strengthen relationships with senior stakeholders within existing accounts to support long-term partnerships, repeat business, and client satisfaction.
- Engage regularly with key decision-makers and influencers, including design professionals, operational leaders, and executive stakeholders.
- Utilize industry presence and professional networks to uncover opportunities and enhance market visibility.
- Develop a strong understanding of the organization’s products, services, and partner offerings, and align solutions with client requirements.
- Serve as a strategic advisor by identifying client needs, recommending appropriate solutions, and supporting clients throughout the full sales process.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate proposals, competitive solutions, and effective project delivery.
- Participate in industry events and networking opportunities to build relationships, generate leads, and stay informed on market trends.
- Deliver a high standard of client service through clear communication, proactive issue resolution, and reliable follow-through.
- Track and manage sales activities, pipeline progress, and forecasts using CRM systems to support planning and performance measurement.
- Represent the organization professionally in all external interactions, upholding its standards and commitment to quality.
Qualifications:
- Proven success in a consultative sales role, selling into the AE industry.
- 5-8 years of sales experience selling to architects and interior designers in Western Canada.
- Willing to coordinate meetings and show office presence at a Vancouver office, 3 days a week (timing is flexible).
- Self-directed individual with strong interpersonal abilities and confidence presenting to a range of audiences, including senior decision-makers.
- Relationship-focused professional who is energized by networking, business development, and cultivating long-term connections.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to navigate and manage complex opportunities throughout the sales lifecycle.
- Demonstrated ownership and accountability in managing accounts or projects, with a proactive approach to achieving results.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver coordinated, client-focused solutions.
- Clear and effective communicator with solid presentation and negotiation skills.
- Strong active listening skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and client engagements simultaneously.
- Comfortable operating in a dynamic environment, using sound judgment and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions.
- Confident and adaptable, with the ability to respond quickly to evolving client needs and business conditions.
- Quick learner with strong digital literacy and the analytical capability to support planning, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
