Full job description

Job SummaryWe're an authentic Maharashtrian street food restaurant serving vada pav, misal pav, pav bhaji and more, made fresh every day. We need an experienced prep cook with fast, clean knife skills to join our kitchen team.

What you'll do

  • Cut and chop large amounts of onions, chilies, coriander, ginger, garlic, potatoes and other vegetables to consistent sizes
  • Prep chutneys, masalas, batters and fillings using our recipes
  • Boil, mash and portion potatoes for vada and bhaji
  • Label, date and store prep correctly (FIFO)
  • Keep your station clean and follow food safety standards
  • Help the line during busy service when needed

What we're looking for

  • At least 1 year of kitchen prep experience (required)
  • Strong knife skills: fast, accurate and safe
  • Experience with Indian cooking is a big plus, especially Maharashtrian or street food
  • Reliable, on time, and able to work steadily without close supervision
  • Able to stand for long shifts and lift up to 40 lbs
  • FOODSAFE Level 1 (preferred, or willing to get it)

Pay: $18.25-$21.00 per hour
