Full job description

Souvlaki George is a busy Greek restaurant serving fresh, quality food in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Line Cook / Cuisinier(ère) to join our kitchen team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to Souvlaki George recipes and standards
  • Work efficiently on the line during busy lunch and dinner services
  • Prepare ingredients, sauces, meats, vegetables, and other food items
  • Operate and maintain grills, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment
  • Ensure food is prepared quickly, consistently, and to quality standards
  • Follow proper portioning and food preparation procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene standards
  • Restock and prepare your station for service
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house team
  • Assist with opening and closing duties
  • Help with general kitchen preparation and cleaning as required

Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant or line-cook experience preferred
  • Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen is an asset
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Strong attention to cleanliness, quality, and consistency
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsible
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Available to work evenings and weekends
  • French or English required
  • Greek is an asset
