Full job description

Chiang Mai Thai Kitchen is looking for a reliable and hardworking Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will prepare high-quality dishes, maintain kitchen standards, and work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant recipes and presentation standards.
  • Set up and stock assigned stations before service.
  • Ensure food is prepared accurately and served on time.
  • Follow proper food-handling, sanitation, and allergy procedures.
  • Monitor food quality, freshness, portion sizes, and temperatures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.
  • Label, date, rotate, and properly store food products.
  • Assist with food preparation, inventory, receiving deliveries, and closing duties.
  • Communicate effectively with chefs, managers, and other kitchen employees.
  • Follow all health, safety, and workplace policies.
  • Support other kitchen stations when required.

Qualifications

  • Previous line cook or professional kitchen experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently during busy service periods.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience preparing Thai or Asian cuisine is an asset but not required.
