Job Description

aKin is looking for a Server Assistant to join our front of house team.

This role is ideal for someone who is warm, organized, professional, and detail oriented. As someone who is a point of contact for the entire experience it is imperative that you are attentive to all of our guests' needs.

The right candidate should be calm under pressure, confident communicating with guests, and comfortable taking ownership of the guest experience in a small, fast paced fine dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Clearing empty plates from guests' tables
• Resetting tables with the necessary cutlery and plate ware for their next course
• Pouring water for our guests when necessary
• Work well on your own and as part of a team
• Ensure guest satisfaction through attentive service
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front and back of house
• Assist with polishing, resetting, menus, and other light service duties as required
• Help create a warm, polished, and seamless guest experience from arrival to departure

Qualifications

• 2-3yrs restaurant or hospitality experience required
• Fine dining experience is an asset
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional, warm, and composed guest presence
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced environment
• Comfortable working full time hours, including evenings and weekends
• Mandarin speaking is an asset
• A genuine interest in hospitality, fine dining, and guest experience
