Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment while assisting with food preparation and meal service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food safety, food handling, and supporting the overall food service operations to ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable restaurant and kitchen experience in a fast-paced food industry setting.

Responsibilities

  • Mainly wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients for various menu items.
  • Support the cooking team by preparing ingredients and assembling dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen workstations, including counters, sinks, and storage areas.
  • Assist with inventory management by notifying supervisors of supplies needed for meal preparation.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations to promote a safe working environment for staff and guests.

Experience

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen or food industry setting will be beneficial.
  • Prior experience serving customers or working in a team-oriented environment is a plus. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant operations within a supportive team environment.
  • Having Foodsafe Level 1 is preferred but not required.
