Full job description

Hansik is seeking passionate individuals for the position of full-time cook.

Located near Yorkdale, Hansik is a partner of CookUnity, a ready-to-eat meal business creating traditional and modern Korean and Japanese dishes. You will be part of a small team preparing thousands of meals a week for delivery. If you desire to have an impact on a growing business we’d love to hear from you!

Duties

  • Clean, cut, and prepare ingredients as directed by the kitchen manager
  • Cook dishes according recipes and ensure consistency
  • Weigh and portion food into individual containers
  • Maintain clean work space and equipment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards

Requirements

  • A passion for Korean/Japanese food and cooking
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment (1 year minimum)
  • Experience in a production or commercial kitchen is an asset
  • Basic knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
  • Ability to remain organized at all times in a fast paced environment
  • Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others as needed
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and problem solve
  • Ability to stand and walk for 8+hours at a time. Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Willingness to learn new things and adapt
  • Be punctual

Expected Start day : August 21st, 2026

Schedule : Full-time (4-4.5 days/week)
