Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations and shift activities
  • Lead, coach, and motivate team members
  • Ensure excellent customer service and food quality standards
  • Maintain food safety, sanitation, and workplace cleanliness
  • Perform cash handling, POS operations, and shift reconciliation
  • Assist with inventory control, ordering, and stock management
  • Train and onboard new employees
  • Support catering, festivals, and off-site events
  • Assist with new store openings and operational initiatives
  • Help ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations
  • Occasionally support deliveries and operational logistics as required

Requirements

We're looking for people who are reliable, energetic, customer-focused, and willing to learn and grow.

  • Previous restaurant, food-service, retail, or customer-service experience is an asset
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is an asset, but strong candidates who are ready to grow into a leadership role are encouraged to apply
  • Valid Canadian work authorization
  • Available to work 30–40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays
  • Willingness to work at multiple JAPADOG locations and special events
  • Food Safe Level 1 certification is preferred, or willingness to obtain after hire
  • Valid driver's licence is preferred for certain operational duties and company vehicle use
  • Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment

Compensation & Schedule

  • CA$20.00/hour starting wage
  • Tips in addition to hourly wage
  • Full-time: 30–40 hours/week
  • Variety of shifts available, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Paid training and opportunities to develop your leadership skills
