Lead One of Toronto’s Most Respected Italian Kitchens

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to join our culinary leadership team in Toronto.
The Opportunity
As Head Chef, you will oversee all back-of-house operations while mentoring and developing a talented culinary team dedicated to excellence, consistency, and authentic Italian cuisine. You will work closely with the General Manager and Executive Chef to drive culinary quality, team culture, operational performance, and guest experience.

This role is ideal for a strong Sous Chef ready for the next step, or an experienced Head Chef looking to join a stable and highly respected organization with real growth opportunities.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and oversee daily BOH operations
- Inspire, mentor, and develop a skilled culinary team
- Maintain exceptional quality, consistency, and execution
- Uphold Terroni’s standards and philosophy of authentic Italian cuisine
- Manage food costs, inventory, scheduling, and kitchen performance
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labour standards
- Collaborate with leadership on menu execution and operational improvements
- Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen culture
What You Bring
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef or Head Chef
- Strong background in authentic Italian cuisine
- Deep understanding of Italian cooking techniques and Materia Prima
- Proven leadership and team-building abilities
- Experience working in high-volume kitchens
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Passion for hospitality, food culture, and mentorship
- English proficiency required (Italian language skills are an asset)
