Do you love dogs? Are you physically fit and want a cool outdoor job? We are looking for strong, active team members who have a vehicle to get to work daily and can commit to the end of April, 2027.

We have contract positions for the winter where you can work outside with 170 huskies and run dogsled tours in the Canadian Rockies!

Your own vehicle is necessary, Alberta driver's license, winter driving experience, and experience working with animals or guiding an asset. Pre-season kennel work (August to mid-November) includes dog care, yard maintenance, free-running and treadmill training of dog teams, gear and trail preparations. Tour duties (December through April) include guiding a team of 5-7 huskies with 2-3 guests on the mountain trails, up to 4 x two hour tours per day. Kennel work is required before and after the tours: cleaning, feeding, watering, checking straw, raking gravel, shoveling snow, etc. Guides all take turns doing trail cleaning and grooming as well. Gratuities are not pooled. Wage is $18.00 per hour base rate, plus a contract completion bonus); there is a lieu time agreement for steady pay throughout the winter, with time to enjoy other winter activities.

Applicants must be physically fit, able to lift heavy objects, walk/run on uneven surfaces and have no current injuries or health issues. This is a no-smoking position.

Work with our new operations manger on a day to day basis, and get trained to drive a dogsled team by owners with over 35 years of dogsled experience. Dog care and client safety is our priority.

Commitment is important to us, as we want consistent care for our dogs, so we are looking for a contract to the end of April. We cannot offer any time off during high season (Christmas/New Year) and weekend work is expected.
